Celine Dion fell onstage Wednesday night in Paris. Then she stood up, gave the crowd a thumbs-up, and finished the song.
Fan-captured video posted to social media shows Dion, 58, performing at the Plénitude Arena in Nanterre, a suburb west of Paris, as part of her 26-show Paris residency. She was walking and jumping across the stage during "Dans un autre monde" when her heel caught on her pant leg. She went down. The crowd went silent. She was back on her feet within seconds, gave a lively thumbs-up to the audience, and kept performing without missing a beat.
Her team has not issued a statement. There is no indication she was seriously injured.
The fall carries weight that a typical onstage stumble wouldn't. Dion was diagnosed in December 2022 with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder affecting roughly one in a million people that causes progressive muscle stiffness and severe, debilitating spasms. At its worst, the condition made walking difficult and prevented her from singing. She canceled her entire Courage World Tour in 2023 and spent the following years in intensive treatment and rehabilitation.

Her last major performance before the Paris residency was a stunning rendition of Édith Piaf's "Hymne à l'Amour" at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, broadcast to billions of viewers worldwide. The moment was widely seen as a declaration that she was still here.
She had not performed a full concert since 2020. The Paris residency opened Sept. 12 and runs through Oct. 17, with a second run scheduled to begin in May 2027 following overwhelming demand. Wednesday's show was her 11th performance of the run.
She has a show scheduled for Oct. 9. There has been no indication it will be canceled.
